Spring 2004 Beta Decay Campaign

Due to unforseen changes in Cyclotron scheduling, a beta decay experimental campaign was mounted in April 2004. Two PAC approved experiments totaling 260 hours of beamtime were scheduled in the time frame April 22 - May 6, 2004. The beta counting system was the main trigger detector for these experiments. Supplemental detectors used in this campaign included in the beta calorimeter, and the SeGA array. Eigth outside users participated in data taking during the campaign. A list of the completed experiments, along with the outsider user groups involved, is detailed below.

A thick (2 mm) Al catcher was used in place of the DSSD for several of the isomer runs during experiment 03016. Pictures of the experimental setup are available here.
