Sample of Shift Duty:
- Make sure there is a Barney_print_out for current run.
- End Run after 10-20 min (for production run) depending on counts in the
p-removal nuclei (see 10)
- Put FC in
- Set Attenuator to 3M
- If Brho does not need to be changed, change the target and go to Step 7.
- Set Brho values according to game plan
- Hit set button, hit up (^) or down arrows, click on Last, click Set,
repeat until D1-D4 values are all set.
- Look at the "A1900 Dipole Matching Window", make sure all the
values of Regidity for D1 and D4 have been set correctly. Wait 10sec to make
sure there is an attempt for automatic matching before hitting the Match Dx
button. Cycle until match is below 0.01%.
- Make sure Att. is set to 3M before taking out FC.
- Adjust Att. for count rate at the FP pin (& listen to the noise maker).
We want count rate to be about 900, <1000. You can do slight adjustment
with the knob for JS51. Look at the B1 setup window, click on JS51 in the
2nd column before turnign the knob. Listen to the count rate clicks.
- Adjust run title (minimal info) and start run.
- Make sure there is a marker for the p-removal nucleus (normally I use a
summing region gate). Clear spectr. Readjust the summing region for the p-removal
nucleus. We want a minimum of 100cts or 20 min limit for production runs.
- Double check run info (run #, Brho, etc) according to run plan.
- Make Barney_print_out and paste on log book.
- ~every hour, copy event disk files (Control window session on the offline
computer, one of the windows has cp -u */evtdata/01036/Raw_evt, use up arrow
to repeat the command)
- Make Paw n-tuple on the laptop.
