Conference Information

 

 


The conference will be held at the Advanced Photon Source Conference Center
on the grounds of Argonne National Laboratory. ANL is located about 20
miles from Chicago. Transportation can be easily arranged from O'Hare
International or Midway airport. A block of rooms has been reserved at the
Argonne Guest House. Please book rooms directly with the hotel by July 9th.

A reception will be held on Sunday evening, July 25th at the Argonne Guest
House. The conference Banquet will take place on Thursday, July 29th. A
boat trip on Lake Michigan is planned for Wednesday afternoon as part of the
excursion to downtown Chicago.

Registration and Conference Fees

The registration fee is 300 US$ before June 11th and 350 US$ after this
date. (There is a 100 US$ discount for students.) The conference fee
covers your participation in all conference sessions, the book of abstracts,
a copy of the proceedings, the welcome reception, all coffee breaks, and bus
transfers. The conference banquet (40$) and the boat trip (11$) are not
included in the registration fee. Those who wish to attend the meeting are
kindly requested to complete and return the registration form enclosed with
this circular, together with payment, to the following address:

The deadline for early registration is June 11th and the final deadline is
July 9th. The registration form can be also downloaded from the conference
website. Limited financial aid is available to encourage student
participation in the conference. Students interested in obtaining support
should contact us by May 3rd.

Information for Non-US Citizens

Non-US citizens should also fill out an additional form (available on the website),
which is required to obtain site access, and e-mail or fax it to the Conference
Secretary by May 15th. It is also important to recognize that the time to process
US visa applications can be very long. Please apply for a visa as soon as you
decide to attend the conference.
